Anbandegi
Anbandegi was formed in 1965 when the slash-and-burn farmers cleared hills to settle. The slash-and-burn farmers plowed fields using pickaxes and shovels only on steep hillsides where they could fall tens of meters. In 1995, the Anbandegi residents from about 28 households, who had plowed the fields for generations, legally purchased it to become the actual owners. The barren lands have been turned into about 2 million square meters of lush farmland. Anbandegi's environment, which was once thought to be nothing but big cabbage fields, makes you feel the sacredness of labor.

Nochusan Mojeongtap-gil Trail
Nochusan Mojeongtap, located near Gangneung Coffee Healing Road, is a hiking trail known for the story of an elderly lady who erected stone pagodas all around the mountain in hopes of ensuring her child's prosperity. Mrs. Cha Soon-ok was the one who started making Mojeong Pagodas. In the midst of experiencing difficult days with continual problems at home after marriage, she had a dream of a mountain god telling her that she would be at peace if she erected 3,000 stone pagodas in the valley. So, in 1986, she settled down in the valley of the Nochusan Mountain and spent the next 26 years building stone pagodas until she passed away. It is now a gathering place for moms from all across the country to pray for the well-being and prosperity of their children.

Gangneung Jungang Market
Jungang Market, located in Gangneung's ancient city, is a historic market that represents the Gangneung area. It became a popular tourist destination for young people as a result of KTX's impact. Aside from the iconic delicacies of Jungang Market, such as dak gangjeong (sweet and sour chicken), garlic bread, and coffee bean bread, there are many more options, including Someori Gukbap Street, the Underground Sashimi Center, Ongshimi, and Kalguksu.
